The Data Center is equipped with environmental controls to provide the consistency and safekeeping of our equipment and your data. The data center utilizes separate cooling zones in computer rooms that are constantly monitored to maintain server temperatures around 68F degrees Fahrenheit and 45% relative humidity. |

Furthermore, the data center employs VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) system, and dry pipe sprinkler system to protect the facility. VESDA is a type of extremely sensitive smoke detector which is capable of detecting microscopic levels of smoke that are not visible to the naked eye. These control measures help ensure that any heat source generating smoke is found and delt with well before a fire breaks out. | Redundant Power and UPS |
Power systems in the data center are proven to run uninterrupted even during long blackouts and brownouts. All networking equipment and servers are connected to Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems with instantaneous failover in case the primary UPS fails.
In addition the Data Center is connected to two independent high-priority PECO sub-stations so the likely hood of a local power grid failure is very low. However, the Data Center does have an on-site diesel generator that is regularly tested and can run virtually indefinitely if both utility power feeds fail. In addition Static Transfer Switches protect against any single points of failure and permit maintenance without shutting down the computer equipment.
